When Was Your Gas appliance Last Serviced?
Extension of your gas appliance life
To extend the life of your boiler, gas fire and cooker and keep it running smoothly and efficiently, you need to have it serviced and inspected by a Gas Safe Register plumber namely VSB Plumbing & Heating Services yearly.
A boiler, gas fire, cooker and central heating system that is not kept in good working order or serviced regularly is at risk of breaking down at any time.
This could be a tragedy if this happens during the coldest days of winter, but also highly hazardous if you have a gas leak.
If gas appliances are not regularly serviced it may result in burning the gas with insufficient oxygen causing incomplete combustion thus production of carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colourless, odourless and tasteless poisonous gas which can kill quickly and without warning. Levels of carbon monoxide that do not kill can cause serious harm to health if breathed in over a long period of time.
Modern boilers are very safe when maintained in the correct way. VSB Plumbing & Heating Services are fully trained and qualified to service all domestic gas boilers.
Gas Certificates/records: Gas Safe Register recommended certificates are used and traceable.
If you only require a gas safety check which is the same as a landlord safety check this can be undertaken for you but does not include a service.
Replacement Of Parts: Sometimes it may be necessary to replace worn or unsafe items on your gas appliance, you will be informed about what the item is and how much it will cost before the item is replaced.
Most gas appliances won’t need any items replacing.
